Sheriff Matthew Lindemann has dedicated his career to law enforcement, serving in various capacities across multiple agencies. He began as a corrections officer with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office before transitioning to a patrol deputy role. In 1990, he joined the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a state trooper, where he served for nearly three decades, retiring in 2018 as a lieutenant in the Texas Ranger Division. Following his retirement, he worked as a sergeant investigator with the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office. In October 2021, he was appointed as Precinct 3 Constable to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Kevin Stofle. On January 1, 2025, Matthew Lindemann was sworn in as the Williamson County Sheriff.
